What People Are Saying
My team received an amazing training session on Mental Health 101 from NAMI Seattle. Our trainer went above and beyond. They facilitated a powerful discussion and created a space where everyone on my team felt comfortable to share how mental health presents itself in our lives. This training was a great experience and kick-started my team’s on-going conversation on mental health. Thank you, NAMI Seattle!
On behalf of the team, we wanted to let you both know how appreciative we are for helping spark an important conversation amongst our team. It was enlightening and touched on so many critical issues. This new awareness is important in our ability to provide a supportive workplace.
Through her authenticity and receptive spirit, our NAMI Seattle trainer created a safe learning environment where difficult topics could be talked about and deeply processed. Our session on Race and Mental Health played on many levels for people, providing practical knowledge, visceral activity, dialogue & discussion… and ample space for reflection.
I have gotten a lot of great feedback from attendees about how helpful [this training] was, and requests to further the conversation about how we in the hospitality industry can make it a more mental health friendly space.
[The trainers] both carry such a warm presence and made the training space feel safe for all. They did an outstanding job of creating a learning environment where participants felt welcome to speak up and share personal experienced while acknowledging that they are not alone. This training provoked important conversation and action within our organization and has helped move us into the right direction.
NAMI Seattle provided us with a great team of facilitators for our group of levy-funded providers. [The trainers] were able to engage and offer valuable tools to staff whose work ranges from housing to seniors to veterans, to employment, behavioral health and more. We are so thankful we partnered with NAMI Seattle for the Compassion Fatigue and De-Escalation trainings!
This was a really good introductory training as to how mental illness can affect an individual. Hearing personal stories involving mental health is really important and I enjoyed going through that experience with coworkers.
