On January 3rd, our community bids a bittersweet farewell to Muguette Guenneguez’s tenure as NAMI Seattle’s Executive Director. We eagerly await news of her next adventure and hope you’ll join us in thanking her for her outstanding service to NAMI Seattle.
Since joining NAMI Seattle in 2018, Muguette’s leadership has left an indelible mark on our organization. Her many contributions include building NAMI Seattle’s relationships with new community partners, improving programmatic accessibility and inclusivity across the greater Seattle area, and growing the organization to meet increasing needs despite the numerous challenges posed by COVID-19. We are grateful for her thoughtful stewardship and careful preparation for NAMI Seattle’s next chapter as identified in our recent strategic planning process.
While our staff, board, and volunteers will deeply miss Muguette’s steady optimism, warm laughter, and big heart as we carry forward the important work of NAMI Seattle’s new strategic plan, we are in excellent hands with Program Manager Katie Mahoney and Development and Fundraising Manager Jeremiah Bainbridge jointly stepping up to serve as Interim Co-Executive directors. Collectively, Katie and Jeremiah bring nearly ten years of experience and individual leadership with NAMI Seattle. They have both been instrumental in building community relationships and ensuring our financial stability, making them the ideal team to guide operations as the Board of Directors convenes a search committee and identifies NAMI Seattle’s next permanent executive. We are immensely grateful to Jeremiah and Katie for their continued leadership during this time.
On behalf of NAMI Seattle’s Board of Directors and staff, thank you for your continued support of and engagement with our community during this time of transition. We look forward to keeping you apprised of NAMI Seattle’s Executive Director search and to seeing all that the future holds for our community!
Warmly,
Nicole Angus
President, NAMI Seattle Board of Directors
