15 Jun Parent Support Call
This weekly online meeting is for Seattle-area parents with school-aged or young adult children whose families are impacted by mental illness. Join fellow parents and local community providers each week for connection, support and resources. While the meeting runs from 6:30-8pm, you are welcome to attend for only part of the time as you’re able. Dial-in information will be provided for those without a webcam-enabled device. Please let us know if you will need captioning.
Register online to have the meeting link emailed to you or contact us with any questions. We hope to see you there!
About the facilitator: Heather has worked in mental health as a psychiatric nurse for 16 years with both children and adults. She currently works on the inpatient mental health units at Harborview Medical center and as a Seattle elementary school nurse. She became passionate about helping support people living with mental illness after experiences growing up with family members affected by mental illness. As a NAMI volunteer she teaches middle & high school students and staff about mental illness and suicide prevention. When not working you may see her running with her two Weimaraner’s pups Frida and Elliott or riding her bike around Lake Washington.
