13 Apr LEAP Workshop
Are you struggling to help a loved one with a mental health condition who does not believe they are ill? Despite your best intentions, do your attempts to help descend into conflict and drive your loved one further away? The LEAP workshop might be for you.
Based on both the professional and personal experience of clinical psychologist Dr. Xavier Amador, the LEAP workshop uses evidence-based strategies and recent research on mental health conditions to help YOU help your loved one. The LEAP approach (Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner) is based on Dr. Amador’s best-selling book “I’m Not Sick, I Don’t Need Help” and is facilitated by Bob Krulish, the only facilitator currently certified to lead this workshop in Washington state. The LEAP approach can help you rebuild trust with your loved one as well as:
- Identify anosognosia vs. “denial”
- Lower anger & paranoia
- Reduce involuntary hospitalizations
This free virtual workshop for will take place via Zoom on Saturday, May 15 from 9:30am-12:30pm.
