Do you understand what it’s like to live with a mental health condition or support someone who does? Are you looking for ways you can use your unique expertise to make a difference?

 If so, being a NAMI Seattle Board Member may be just the thing for you!

Join the ONLY organization in the Seattle Area driving to fill the gaps in our local mental health system. 

How do we reach this goal? We attain this through:

  • Peer-led education
  • Referrals
  • Educational Programs
  • Support Groups
  • Advocacy

What are we looking for in a Board Member?

  • Individuals who understand the work we do in our community.
  • Lived experience with a mental health condition or experience supporting a family/friend who does.
  • Ability to serve a minimum of a 2-year term.
  • Ability to attend virtual board meetings every two months.
  • Ability to start January of 2021

Our board members have varying skillsets and come from many walks of life. They are community activists, teachers, health care providers, parents, and people who care about removing the stigma around mental illness. If you have empathy, care about the work we do, have experience in advocacy, fundraising, project management, or finance, we would love to hear from you!
