Parent Support Calls

Update: As of June 2021 we have unfortunately had to discontinue our Parent Support Calls. However, if you are a parent of a youth under 18 and you’re interested in keeping updated about other parent support programs that NAMI Seattle adds in the future, please add your name to our list and we’ll keep you in the loop!

Register for 2nd Fridays | Register for 4th Fridays

Are you a parent or guardian of a school-age child or young adult?

Are you looking for extra support and connection, or help navigating resources during these hard times?

Join fellow parents and community providers every 2nd & 4th Fridays (starting March 26, 2021) from 6-7pm to ask questions and get ideas and support. We know your life is busy – stay for the whole call or leave early if you need to. Join by video or dial in.

Registration is required, register here for 2nd Fridays and here for 4th Fridays.

Questions? Contact Katie Mahoney, NAMI Seattle Program Manager, by email or phone/text (425-276-1760).

About the facilitator:

Heather has worked in mental health as a psychiatric nurse for 16 years with both children and adults. She currently works on the inpatient mental health units at Harborview Medical center and as a Seattle elementary school nurse. She became passionate about helping support people living with mental illness after experiences growing up with family members affected by mental illness. As a NAMI volunteer she teaches middle & high school students and staff about mental illness and suicide prevention. When not working you may see her running with her two Weimaraner’s pups Frida and Elliott or riding her bike around Lake Washington.
