On NAMI Lobby Day, join advocates from all over Washington in Olympia, our State’s Capitol. We meet with our Representatives and Senators to advocate for legislation that will positively impact our mental health system. The best advocates are community members like you: it makes a real difference when legislators hear their constituents’ stories and see the direct impact that these bills can have on individuals with mental health conditions and their families. See our Advocacy Toolkit or attend a Smarts for Advocacy for more information on how to turn your story into an “ask”. NAMI Lobby Day typically takes place on President’s Day. Due to COVID-19, this year’s Lobby Day will probably look different than previous years. However, it’s more important than ever that we stay plugged in and speak up for our community’s mental health needs. Stay tuned for the 2020 date and event details!
